A great group, from all over the OUR cooperative area, came together for a day of training on Trauma-Invested Classrooms. We are preparing our educators to create safe, supportive, and collaborative environments for all of our students.
Working with Difficult Students is a training that can be very helpful for counselors, ALE teachers, secondary teachers, and administrators. Today we had a small group that learned Motivational Interviewing skills. These skills will allow them to skillfully help people find their own motivation for change. #ArkansasAWARE

LEADS Quarterly meeting
K-6 teachers spent the day becoming familiar with the 2022 Arkansas Social Studies standards and developing plans for instruction of these standards.
Kelly Stone, DESE State RISE Specialist, presented Science of Reading-Morphology for OUR Co-op attendees on Monday.

Dyslexia Interventionists met with Literacy Specialist, Pattie Wheeler, for the final meeting of the 23-24 school year. This was Pattie's final meeting with her group as she handed the reins over to the new Dyslexia Specialist, Amanda Green.
