Congratulations to the WIN Leadership Academy Class of 2021 for completing their final session last month! 15 teachers and counselors from 12 OUR schools participated in 5 sessions over the course of 8 weeks where they delved into a book study, one-on-one discussions with local industries, workforce and placement data, and many discussions about collaborative efforts that could better prepare students for the workforce. The final session was intended to be November 18th, but our educators and industries loved the Academy so much that we will be extending the Academy into the spring semester with potential in-person industry tours and continued collaboration. If you would like to learn more about WIN (Workforce Initiative Network), you can visit https://sites.google.com/oursc.k12.ar.us/workforce-initiative-network/home.
