Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE)
O.U.R. Educational Cooperative is announcing the destruction of confidential special education records for students who received Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) services and were born in 2014 or 2015.
In accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and state record retention requirements, these records are no longer needed for educational purposes and are scheduled for destruction on or after July 1, 2026.
Records may include:
Evaluations and assessments
Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Progress reports
Eligibility documentation
Related service records
Parents/guardians or former students who are 18 years of age or older may request copies of these records before the destruction date.
Please note:
Special education records that are not requested by the destruction date will be securely destroyed.
