OUR Mathematics Department
The O.U.R. Cooperative Math Department is a cornerstone of our commitment to fostering student success in mathematics across our member districts. As one of the many student-centered initiatives administered by the Cooperative, the Math Department is grounded in the belief that every student deserves access to high-quality, engaging, and effective mathematics instruction.
Our mission is clear: to do whatever it takes to elevate student learning and achievement in mathematics. To that end, the program offers a comprehensive suite of services and supports that address the diverse needs of educators and students alike. From targeted, research-based professional development opportunities for teachers to on-site instructional coaching and curriculum support, our Math Specialist works collaboratively with schools to enhance mathematics instruction at all grade levels.
In addition to professional support, the program includes unique outreach initiatives such as the O.U.R. Annual Math Carnival—an engaging, hands-on event that celebrates mathematics in a fun, interactive environment for students, families, and educators. This and other regional activities are designed to promote a culture of mathematical curiosity and confidence.
With a steadfast focus on collaboration, innovation, and equity, the Math Department serves as a vital resource for schools striving to improve mathematics outcomes and build a stronger foundation for student success.
