Dyslexia
The Dyslexia Specialist is available to serve area schools in academic improvement through the Dyslexia Screenings and Response to Intervention process.
This includes:
Professional Development for teachers and interventionists in administering screenings, analyzing and interpreting screening data, and determining appropriate interventions that are systematic, multisensory, and evidence-based.
Provide training for phonological and phonemic awareness, sound and symbol relationships, alphabet knowledge, decoding skills, rapid naming skills, encoding skills, and language comprehension.
Support for principals and curriculum coordinators
Literacy coaching support and other services that schools need to meet and exceed state and national standards in literacy.
Dyslexia means a specific learning disability that is:
Neurological in origin;
Characterized by difficulties with accurate and fluent word recognition and poor spelling and decoding abilities that typically result from a deficit in the phonological component of language; and
Often unexpected in relation to other cognitive abilities.

Amanda Green holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership with a focus on superintendency, a Master's in Education specializing in reading and mathematics, and a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and Bible. Her professional experience encompasses various roles, including:

Amanda has received extensive professional development training, including certifications in the Science of Reading (SOR), serving as an SOR Assessor, and completing the Apple Connections OG in 3D and Barton dyslexia programs.
