Hello and welcome to the
O.U.R. Educational Cooperative
Distance Learning Webpage
The Distance Learning Coordinator at OURESC is a resource for our member districts to be used in order to create and maintain a quality distance learning environment for local students and students statewide. It is our mission to provide the best guidance, training and support for the OURESC area as well as promote a sense of positivity toward the program at large. The Arkansas Statewide Distance Learning Initiative has grown substantially since its deployment in 2005 and has maintained an increasingly higher level of rigor, usage and overall acceptance each and every year since. It is my feeling that the OURESC school districts are a prime example of the proper use of this technology and their students have reaped the rewards of experiencing a 21st century technology in the classroom.
What is Distance Learning?
Distance Learning is the technology and educational process used to provide instruction when the teacher and student are not physically present at the same time and/or place.
